Samarth

This scheme intends to provide shelter to orphaned or abandoned PWDs, especially those from lower income groups or those living below poverty lines, covered by the Trust. It also offers support to the families of beneficiaries during crisis situations.

The group home facility at Samarth centres are open to people of all age groups. Residents are provided a good quality of care, including meals and basic medical care.

Batches at Samarth Centres should have upto 30 people, extendable to a maximum of 39 people. Equal number of beneficiaries from below and above the poverty line backgrounds must be included in a batch.

For sustaining the centre, the organisations running it are allowed to charge a fee to those from economically stronger backgrounds. That is why, they are also encouraged to maintain an even balance between paying and non-paying residents.
